Feydec completes its contribution to the Avoin Map project.

Feydec Oy participated in the Avoin Map project under the PoliRuralPlus Develop Call. The project developed three open-source pilot services for sustainable rural development in the Mallusjoki region of Finland: Energy Map, Zoning Map and Activity Map.

Feydec was the project’s technical partner, contributing to the development and implementation of all three digital services. Its principal responsibility was the technical development, including scenario calculation, editable assumptions, and carbon-impact reporting. This work complemented Avoin Map’s service design and data development and Saatsi Arkkitehdit’s building-related expertise.

The project concluded in June 2026 with the planned technical work and pilot testing completed. The resulting open-source components provide a foundation for further development and application in other regions.
